Qin Lake Tourist Attraction is located in Lixiahe region in the middle of Jiangsu Province and is an eastern suburb of Taizhou city. It was open to the public in 2003. Since 2005, it has won the reputations such as the National AAAAA Tourist Attraction, National Wetland Park, National Water Conservancy Scenic Spot, National Intangible Cultural Heritage, National Popular Science Education Base and National Forestry Tourism Demonstration Area etc. The whole planned area covers 26 km2. There are abundant rivers and grasslands, where is a paradise of the Pere David’s deer, a rare animal since age of Teras.

Folk Culture-Qintong Boat Festival
The boat festival is a unique folk-custom activity in Qin Lake area. On the second day of Tomb-sweeping Day every year, hundreds of boats from villages and towns gather here on Qin Lake to participate in the annual China Qintong Boat Festival. On this day, more than 100,000 tourists arrive here every year. Over 1000 boats participate in the performance on the lake and form a very spectacular scene.

Eight Tasty Food in Qin Lake include Qin Lake Bamboo Weir Crab, Qin Lake Freshwater Shrimp, Qin Lake Soft-Shelled Turtle, Qin Lake Whitebait, Qin Lake Shellfish, Qin Lake Four Fishes (the four fishes are divided into four large fishes and four small fishes, the four big fishes include black carp, whitefish, snakehead fish and mandarin fish; while the small four fishes consist of pelteobagrus fulvidraco, Chinese bitterling, pseudorabora parva and pompano), Qin Lake Waterfowl and Qin Lake Aquatic Vegetables.

Food Cultural 2-Qin Lake Bamboo Weir Crab
The bamboo weir crab has blue eyes, red pincers hair, enriched cream and tender meat. The bamboo weir crab derives its name from the meaning of using bamboo weir to catch crabs. In the golden fall season, the crabs begin toswim eastward to the East China Sea to lay eggs and reproduce, and the local people in Qin Lake areas use the bamboo weir to catch the crabs, a unique measure in Qin Lake area.

Geological Culture- Wetland Knowledge
“Shidi” in Chinese is called the “Wetland” in English. The World Wetland Day is on Feb 2 (in order to protect the wetland, more than ten countries signed the Wetland Convention in Ramsar, Iran on Feb 2, 1971 – “Ramsar Convention”). In 1977, the State Administration of Forestry defined the wetland as: in broad sense: refers to any natural or artificial, permanent or temporary everglades, peat lands or water areas with still or flowing salty or fresh water, including those sea areas with less than 6-meter water depth during the low tide.
